Optical Coherence Tomography (OCT)

Optical coherence tomography is a very high resolution (10-20 µm) intracoronary diagnostic technique, permitting detailed analysis of coronary artery disease and the results of coronary interventions, as well as proper assessment of stent endothelization.

We offer:

1. Quantitative analysis of coronary disease: minimal luminal area, degree of stent endothelization, neointimal thickness
2. Qualitative analysis: vulnerable plaque detection (thin-cap fibroatheroma); outcome of stent placement (including tissue prolapse, microdissections, and strut malposition)
